A nation of 607 islands, the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM) is one of the most remote and awe-inspiring destinations on Earth. Peaceful and welcoming, FSM spans nearly a million square miles of ocean just north of the equator, offering an unmatched diversity of cultures, landscapes, and marine life.

Located in the heart of the Caroline Islands Archipelago, The Federated States of Micronesia (FSM) stretches from Palau in the west to the Marshall Islands in the east. Set at the crossroads of the Kuroshio and Northern Equatorial Currents, this vibrant seascape is home to some of the richest coral reefs and most productive pelagic fisheries on the planet.
FSM is made up of four island States, running west to east: Yap, Chuuk, Pohnpei, and Kosrae. Each has its own distinct character shaped by its geography, ecology, language, and customs. With 8 indigenous languages still spoken today, each state proudly preserves and celebrates its unique cultural identity.
