Chuuk Lagoon is often considered the greatest wreck diving destination in the world. Beneath its calm, clear waters lie dozens of Japanese WWII ships, now transformed into coral-encrusted monuments teeming with life. Surf uncrowded reef breaks in Pohnpei and Kosrae, where world-class waves draw pros and beginners alike. Kite surfing is also popular, especially from October to March, with major breaks accessed by boat.
